Cisco Indonesia’s number one joins blogosphere
Through blogging, Cisco’s Managing Director for Indonesia Irfan Setiaputra is breaking the walls in sharing his thought and experience on what “Human Network” is really about.
It’s a breakthrough. While other leaders communicate carefully crafted messages through a PR staff, Irfan decide to personally interact with his audience. Well, there is nothing wrong with traditional means of communication. But it kinda creates a wall between you and your audience. And if you’re trying to explain “Human Network,” blog is the tool of the trade.
In brief, Human Network is Cisco’s new paradigm about network: it’s not just bunch of hardware –routers, switches, cables, access points. It’s the people connected to the network that matters. In certain way, the network changed how people work, live, play and learn.
The question is how you can tell people about Human Network if you don’t live in it. Blog is one of example of Human Network in action. Blog had changed how people exchange information, from a one way publisher-audience style to an interactive dialogue between writers and readers. Irfan joined the blogosphere to be a part of the Human Network, to experience how it feels to be part of it, not just babbling about it in presentations.
By experiencing it, Irfan blog is original. On one post, he wrote about how he finished his work while traveling and another post on how 3G helped Irfan stay productive. Irfan said he would dedicate one hour of his day to update his blog. Let’s see if he can keep it up.
Welcome to the blogosphere!
