INM group will be invest US$ 50 million in Indonesia
Sir Antonio O’ Reily, owner of Independent News & Media (INM) group was interest to invest US$ 50 million for news paper business in Indonesia. He said that until now the INM group has been consider the opportunities and the threatments if running this business in Indonesia (www.kontan-harian.com).
INM group will develop the fabricated infrastructure and machine equipment to prepare theirs bussiness in here and will be ready on 2008.
According to Group Chief Operating Officer IMN, Gavin O’ reilly, Indonesia is the one of a competitive country to developing this business. Indonesia more efficient for production cost and so more competitiveness for labour cost but still good enough for employee ability to compete in the other country in Asia (for example if we compare with China).
To consumer satisfaction and demand, INM group will publishing the news paper in a local language (bahasa). In Indonesia people, it will be more prospective than foreign language (english). This business will need employee almost 2,000 and so it will be increase our economic growht for entirely.
Currently, INM group has develop networking for the news paper business more than 21 countries in the world, like British, Australia, India, Selandia Baru, South Africa and the others. More than 180 news paper and 31 million copy has published by INM group in there, consist of: Belfast Telegraph, Irish Independent, The New Zealand Herald, and Cape Times.
