Tax ratio will be 16 percent in 2009
Tax income growth’s for 2008 more lower than 2007. Director of General Tax, Darmin Nasution said that the tax income growht’s for 2008 has prediction will be reaching 22 percent. It is more lower than last year (2007) which reaching till 25,53 percent.
In 2004, tax income growth’s realization (excluded oil and gas) was reached 16,54 percent, in 2005 was reached 21,90 percent (Rp. 263,35 trilion), in 2006 was decrease become to 19,55 percent (Rp. 314,86 trilion), and for 2007, government has determining that the tax income growth’s will be reaching 30,63 percent (Rp. 395,25 trilion).
For the next year (2008), government has prediction that the tax income growth’s will be 22 percent, or more lower than last year. So it will be easier to reached by Director of General Tax.
While, our tax ratio in 2005 was reached 12,89 percent, 2006 was reached 13,58 percent and for 2007, government has targeted till 13,92 percent.
Tax ratio valued by comparation of tax income with Gross Domestic Product (GDP), and it will be relationship with all of economic sector. Till 2009 Director of General Tax has optimistic that the tax ratio will be reaching 16 percent (www.pajak.go.id).
