Sejak pertama kali diaktifkannya kembali, yaitu pada tahun 1977 lalu, pasar modal indonesia telah mengalami perkembangan yang cukup signifikan dalam menopang perekonomian bangsa Indonesia.
Jika kita hitung hingga saat ini (2008), maka aktivitas pasar modal di indonesia telah memasuki tahun ke 31.
